The U Mobile network utilizes the 018 prefix as allocated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and is currently the only service provider offering per second block charges. With this feature, subscribers are charged based on the exact duration of voice and video calls.
With the IMT-2000 (3G) spectrum awarded, U Mobile aims to manage, establish, launch and operate a high quality network in Malaysia to deliver mobile communications and multimedia driven services. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has also awarded the following licenses to U Mobile, allowing the company to build, operate and maintain telecommunication network infrastructures and offer telecommunication and interactive/internet-based services in the country:
