Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (“TCMH”) was incorporated in Malaysia on 14 October 1972 and listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 4 February 1974.
TCMH Group commenced business as a small motor vehicle distributor in the 1950s and has grown into a conglomerate involved in a variety of activities ranging from the assembly and marketing of motor vehicles and autoparts manufacturing to property development and trading in various heavy machinery, industrial equipment and consumer products, both locally and abroad.
Products & Services
The Group is the franchise holder and exclusive distributor of Nissan passenger and light commercial vehicles and Renault vehicles in Malaysia. It has more than 150 sales branches and authorised dealership outlets nationwide, and supported by 45 after-sales service centres. The Group is also the franchise holder and exclusive distributor for Nissan UD diesel trucks and buses and has established itself as one of the leading commercial vehicle distributors in Malaysia. The Group’s vehicles sales command approximately 15.5% of the market share for non-national cars and 6% of the industry wide market for the first quarter of 2009. TCMH Group owns two assembly plants in Segambut and Serendah which have a combined production capacity (single-shift) of approximately 34,000 units a year.
