ROY Taekwondo was formed in 2001 under Master Aloysius Montano aka Master Roy. The concept was about promoting peace & harmony by approaching & propagating Taekwondo in a holistic way to anyone wishing to learn, young or old.
Although named after Master Roy, ROY Taekwondo also stands for “Reuniting Old & Young”. ROY Taekwondo believes in incorporating old & new ideas, values, theories and people in the quest of promoting peace through Taekwondo.
The “Um & Yang” principles are adopted in the logo in manifesting balance, flexibility, respect and humility amongst members of the fraternity, mankind & the universe.
