Malaysia Packaging Industry Berhad or Maypak as the Company is more commonly known was established on 17 March 1975 and granted Pioneer Status for the manufacture of flexible light packaging materials. Since its inception, Maypak has led the local converting industry by being listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (then known as the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) in 1990 and obtained SIRIM's certification of its ISO 9001 Quality Management System in 1995 and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in 2000.
Products & Services
Besides manufacturing conventional packaging products, Maypak produces special application packaging for the medical, prophylactics, pharmaceutical, special food, seasoning and electronic industry. Maypak has its origins as a joint-venture project between Malaysian and Japanese partners. This partnership has enabled the transfer of Japanese production management systems like, 5-S and KAIZEN to ensure total customer satisfaction.
