Incorporated on 10 April 1958, Malaya Acid Works Sdn. Bhd. commenced its manufacturing operation in the production of Sulfuric Acid in Petaling Jaya, making it one of the earliest companies that set up a manufacturing base in the then state capital of Selangor. In 1962, Malaya Acid Works (Alum) Sdn. Bhd., a fully-owned subsidiary, started to produce Aluminium Sulfate and Hydrated Lime in Petaling Jaya for potable water treatment plants throughout Malaysia. It later expanded to produce Sodium Silicate and Potassium Silicate. Through various phases of expansion and land acquisition, we are now strategically located in key areas of peninsular Malaysia: Prai in the northern region, Petaling Jaya and Klang in the central region and Pasir Gudang in the southern region.
