FPG Oleochemicals is a 50/50 joint venture between Felda Palm Industries Sdn Bhd and The Procter & Gamble Company, USA. The Company manufactures fatty alcohols, methyl esters and glycerine. FPG Oleochemicals is a strong partnership between two world leaders. Felda is the world’s largest producer of palm oil and palm kernel oil while P&G is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and marketers of consumer and oleochemical products.
Products & Services
The Glycerine Refinery is the first major expansion project for FPG Oleochemicals. It started operations in December 2004 and adds value to the existing operations by converting all the co- product crude glycerine from the esterification process into 99.7% purity glycerine of pharmaceutical grade quality.
The refinery has been built to world standards by FPG staff and local contractors working collaboratively with technical assistance and technology provided by P&G. The refined glycerine is marketed by P&G and the product is exported to the U.S.A., Europe and Asia.
