When I first started DziCrystal.com in 2004, there are very few similar websites from Malaysia. The cost of domain name and website hosting were relatively low. However, getting programmers to write eBusiness website were very costly. I just give my self a try due to my interest and technical background on technology.
There were very little business activities for the first three years during that long learning curve period. It was only slowing picking up in year four and year five. Thanks to the advancement in internet technology, now we can setup a sophisticated eBusiness website at almost ZERO cost by using Joomla and Virtuemart open source software. I was able to completely restructure the entire website since last year. It is lucky to stay alive until now.
Products & Services
It is never easy to run multiple outlets in this industry, in fact, it is very taxing when dealing with physical outlet, product, staff and customer related issues. At the same time we have to stay profitable for survival. I can only manage DziCrystal.com with my spare time and I am still the only person to manage this website after six years. Since this year, parts of DziCrystal.com product are also on sales at Amazon.com and mall.cari.com.my (for local market). I’m planning for another new website in near future.
So this year, DziCrystal.com birthday wish is: To make full use of the technology and become a fully internet based gemstones retail company in the next few years!
