Chop Tong Guan Sdn Bhd (CTG) was incorporated on 1985. The CTG Group has, however, been a major importer and distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables in Malaysia for more than 70 years, when the business was first started by the late Mr. Koay Boon Hock, father and grandfather of the current Chairman and Executive Director of the Company.
From its early beginnings, CTG has imported fresh fruits and vegetables from its traditional suppliers in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the Far East and Europe. The range and number of suppliers for fruits and vegetables has since widened as the Group continually source for new products and suppliers to provide its customers with all-year supply of such products and also to increase the range of products to service its ever-demanding clientele.
Products & Services
The Group sells and distributes its fruits and vegetables to wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets and hypermarkets, i.e. Carrefour, Makro, Giant (Dairy Farm), Tesco, etc., as well as to the many local supermarkets and mini-markets in the country. CTG also acts as agents for many international companies like Dole, Del Monte, Zespri, etc. and markets the fruits in season for them.
The Group has also embarked on wrapping and packaging services especially to cater for its large corporate customers viz. supermarkets and hypermarkets, which are capturing an increasingly large percentage of the retail market and to promote a more healthy method of distributing its products.
