The Centre for Advanced Software Engineering, (CASE) is a centre of excellence in software engineering in UTM that has been established with the objective to provide opportunities for advanced studies and professional development for current and future needs of technology-based industries. The Centre was firstly set up in December, 1996 as a joint venture program between UTM and campus THALES, France was seen as a classic example of smart partnership in the country involving a transfer of high technology from Europe.
Products & Services
CASE, in its pursuit towards academia-industry commitment and synergy had offered a Masters Program M.Sc in Real Time Software Engineering in January, 1997. CASE has committed to the provision of opportunities for professional training in software engineering standards and practices to local industries and individuals by offering short courses and degree programs. CASE for the first time in January, 1998 offered a Bachelors Programme in Real Time Software Engineering to MAS (Malaysian Airline System) to train its 20 software engineers in Software Development Methodology and its related field. CASE further extended its academic strategy by offering both full time and part time programs to provide more opportunities for interested parties to engage themselves in the cutting edge software technologies.
